Momentum Comes From What You’re Already Doing

As we wrap up March, take a second to recognize what you’ve already done. You showed up. You kept moving. You pushed through the days where it wasn’t perfect—and that matters more than you think.

With longer days, warmer weather, and more opportunities to get outside, spring gives us a natural boost. The goal now isn’t to start over—it’s to build on what you’ve already created and use that momentum to carry that energy forward.  You don’t need a brand-new plan for spring. Let’s continue the habits you’ve been building and layer onto them.

If you’ve been getting in 2 workouts a week → aim for 3 when you can

If you’ve been consistent during the week → add something active on the weekend

If you’ve been showing up tired → imagine what you can do with a little more energy and sunlight.

Spring Means More Movement (Even Outside the Gym)

As the weather improves, your opportunities to move expand beyond the gym walls—and it all counts. Walks after dinner, weekend hikes or bike rides, playing outside with your kids–shooting hoops, kicking a ball around, or practicing running the bases.  This is a great time to blend fitness into real life, especially for busy families.

For many of you, spring also means one thing: kids’ sports season is here! And we understand how time consuming that time of the year can be.  But instead of seeing that as a barrier, we can make it part of the routine.  Schedule a quick workout in before practice or games or use practice time for a walk, jog, or bodyweight workout nearby. And while you are watching your children be active, they are watching you too.  When they see you prioritizing movement—even in small ways—you’re setting an example that sticks.

Short Workouts Still Work

When spring gets hectic, and this is where that movement over perfection mindset really comes into play.  We focused a lot on that this month.  As long as you are moving, it counts! You don’t need an hour.  A 20–30 minutes of focused effort is enough.  A quick strength circuit still builds progress and a fast-paced class can completely shift your energy for the day.  It’s keeping the habit and momentum alive, even on your busiest days.
